The RAISE SIG for Research & Evaluation warmly invites you to a hybrid in-person/online panel discussion with speakers who were involved in the HEFCE-funded REACT project on 25th May between 13.00-14.30 (GMT).
There is an optional (and free!) in-person networking lunch at 12pm for face-to-face attendees.
Designed to increase collaborative working across the sector around student engagement, REACT was a collaboration between Winchester, Exeter and London Metropolitan Universities which brought together 13 further partner universities to support and evaluate their development of student engagement initiatives. A key focus was research about students’ engagement in educational development, critically exploring the experience of so-called ‘hard to reach’ students.
Panellists will share their experience of being involved in REACT, an assessment of how student engagement has changed in the 5 years since REACT concluded and where they believe it is going.
On the day:
Networking lunch (for in person attendees): 12 – 1pm
Panel discussion + Q&A (online guests to join): 1pm – 2.30pm
Confirmed speakers:
Tom Lowe: Head of Student Engagement & Employability at the University of Winchester
Cassie Lowe: Senior Researcher, Learning and Teaching Development at the University of Winchester
Jenny Marie: Head of Academic & Learning Enhancement at the University of Greenwich
Liz Austen: Head of Evaluation and Research at Sheffield Hallam University
