Our theme for 2026-27 is Advancing Student Engagement.  Projects should, wherever possible:

  2. Align to the Mission and Principles of RAISE

  3. Follow the principles of engaging students (where applicable)

  4. Be collaborative across an institution or between separate providers

  5. Include a short, written report that can be published on the RAISE website.

Eligibility criteria

We welcome applications from independent scholars and those based in Higher Education and related organisations, however we require one member of the group to be a current staff member at a UK Higher Education institution where the fund will be paid.

Funds to be spent in UK only.  Applicants from outside the UK are welcome to discuss the feasibility of their project before application.

Funding will be paid following a grant letter and subsequent invoice direct to a university or students’ union. A breakdown of forecasted spend should be included in your bid and RAISE may request a breakdown of spend during/following the project.

Overheads, conference attendance, events or artifacts that do not contribute to the evidence base will also not be eligible for the fund.

RAISE Committee Members may apply for funding and will excuse themselves from any decisions.
